This is not a new story, but an old one.

Dorset street in 1807, a pub is found nestled next to the royal canal. Redbrick Victorian features masked the Finian rebels taking refuge often in the basement.

Fast forwarding through our nation’s history through the eyes of this journeyman’s pub;

We find this peculiar story continues.

A story of four friends who bonded initially over a love of music, but individually evolved to be absorbed by the F &B industry, come together in a project which has only. strengthened their passion and resolve.

Juno started out as a casual craft pub for the ever more bustling Dorset/ Drumcondra border, but after much soul searching by Jamie, Sean (Crudo Restaurant) , Brian and Jonnie ( The Fourth Corner pub) It was decided to take a leap of faith.

From Thursday the 12th of December, our lovely Juno bar will have a sister gastropub by her side named Hera.

With a foundation in the local culinary history of the ever growing melting pot that is Dublin 1, Juno and Hera promise a reimagined concept to what a local, Irish, neighbourhood Gastro pub is.

With the kitchen headed by Joe Smith (Bastible, As One) , the menu will deliver simple home comforts, some from the guys’ family recipes, reimagined to our contemporary expectations.

Grilled Delmonico’s , Lobster Fish pie and a chorizo scotch egg, washed down with an intriguing rendition of a Manhattan containing black tea, Valencia Island Vermouth , Connemara Peated whiskey, surrounded by a redesigned space inspired by the time past, while outside the world goes by on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. We have overhauled our wine and cocktail list showcasing some curious procurers from Ireland and further afield.

Hera and Juno welcome guests to book online through our website and updated opening hours will soon be live.

Come with us to continue our story…………
